the tickets have been bought.
.. and i'm leaving on june 12 to be with my joshua for four months. it doesn't seem real. i know it's happening, esp since i've been packing lately, it still doesn't feel real.
.. but my plane leaves jacksonville at 12:55 p.m. on june 12 and it'll arrive in chicago around 4:35 ..
i'll be running into his arms!!!
other than that, i think this weekend's gonna be fun!! tomorrow around noon there's a picnic up at the waterfront for CAP. it's for the volunteers, so.. free food! *smiles*
.. and plus, i'm pretty sure i get to see an old friend, austin, tomorrow at the picnic. he's back in town until may 24, so we definitely have to visit with one another before he heads back home. can't wait!!
i don't know if nikki and i have plans, but last night we were up until five in the morning chatting our little lips off. finally, my eyes were getting so droopy that i just had to go to sleep! i think i'll call her soon to see if she's up.. might just give her an hour, tho. make sure she's definitely awake! *smiles*
my rooms starting to look bare. my desk will be the very last think i pack up. i can't stand a bare, boring desk. it has to have personality. but, yup! it's starting to look a little less like my room.
.. went through my "high school years" box. yea, i threw out most of that stuff except for my senior book, my year books, and pictures. i threw out anything that phill or tony [he didn't give me much of anything, really] gave me, except for pictures.. i'm not gonna keep those things around for josh to see.. esp, love letters. it's just stupid, in my opinion. i will not bring a box filled with love letters, cards, stuffed animals, etc that phill and tony had given me over our relationships into a home that josh and i will establish.. that's just dumb!
.. so, i threw the letters/cards in the trash.. donating the stuffed animals to the salvation army .. and mom's keeping the pictures..
easy as that!
that high school box did become considerably lighter, tho! *laughs*
i think i'm the only one in this family that has decided to be the responsible one AND worked on my room a little bit each day. by tomorrow, my room will be done. i may be the youngest daughter, but damn, i'm good!
.. well, i think i'm gonna do that. prove to everyone that i'm the best daughter in the family. *hehe*
